1. **Threat Detection and Analysis:**
- Monitor network traffic and security logs for signs of suspicious activity.
- Analyze security data to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Investigate security incidents and provide detailed reports.
2. **Vulnerability Management:**
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests.
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities.
- Keep abreast of the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.
3. **Security Policies and Procedures:**
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees.
4. **Incident Response:**
- Develop and maintain an incident response plan.
- Lead incident response efforts in the event of a security breach.
- Document and report security incidents to management.
5. **Security Tools and Technologies:**
- Manage and configure security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
- Stay updated on the latest security technologies and recommend improvements.
6. **Security Audits and Compliance:**
- Conduct regular security audits and assessments.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
7. **Security Monitoring and Reporting:**
- Implement and manage security monitoring systems.
- Generate and review security reports for management and stakeholders.
8. **Team Collaboration:**
- Work closely with IT teams to integrate security measures into system designs and implementations.
- Collaborate with incident response teams and law enforcement agencies when necessary.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent are a plus.
- Proven experience in cyber security, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of security technologies, protocols, and best practices.
- Proficiency in network and system administration.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
