We seek a high-energy Full-Stack Web Developer to provide hands-on technical expertise for developing and implementing AEM-based Enterprise Content Management platforms, including design, definition, and development of content type models, components, and templates. WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Estimate and implement full-stack development efforts.
- Be a key contributor to the AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) governance process – to review UI/UX design, coordinate the AEM componentization process, and ensure design standards, guidelines, and best practices are followed.
- Design and integrate responsive multi-tenant, multilingual solutions on AEM 6.5+ and Java 11 and integrations with other internal marketing products and endpoints including but not limited to OneTrust, Pardot, and Adobe Analytics.
- Work closely with the Adobe Managed Service (AMS) and vendors to ensure sound practices regarding site performance, reliability, and content delivery are in place.
- Assess existing source code and adapt it to meet current requirements. Conduct and engage in constructive code reviews for ongoing projects to ensure optimal code quality and best practices are followed (SEO, accessibility, performance, etc.).
- Develop powerful features such as multi-site and multi-channel delivery, personalization/targeting, content aggregation & syndication, multi-lingual support, etc.
- Participate in project planning sessions with team members to analyze development requirements and provide work breakdowns and estimates of work.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 2-3 years of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) 6.4/6.5 full-stack developer experience.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience building full-stack web applications while following a style guide and using Git and GitLab (or similar software) for version control and team collaboration. Ability to engage in code reviews and implement feedback in a timely manner. Experience writing fixes for specific web browsers would be an asset. Excellent understanding of Java/J2EE, HTL (HTML Template Language, formerly Sightly), and XML, combined with a strong knowledge of OOP concepts and enterprise Java frameworks such as Apache Sling and OSGi. Ability to use these technologies together to create reusable AEM components for content authors to use in production.
- Previous experience creating custom RESTful APIs using Apache Sling.
- Solid understanding of creating clean and responsive mobile-first SCSS code adhering to BEM methodology and modern CSS best practices (such as flexbox).
- Excellent understanding of both vanilla JavaScript (minimum ES6 syntax) and TypeScript. Experience with using either with Webpack 5 would be an asset.
- Excellent understanding of HTML5 best practices (SEO and accessibility)
- Experience with developing or maintaining custom React or similar SPA-based applications within AEM.
- Strong understanding of troubleshooting issues using built-in IDE debugging tools and log analysis.
- A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment and who can manage multiple priorities and execute with quality and speed
- Previous experience implementing features on top of a legacy codebase in a team-based environment is preferred.
- Previous experience implementing unit tests and integration tests against custom AEM code with either JUnit 5 or Playwright would be an asset
- Previous experience with implementing OneTrust, Pardot, or Adobe Analytics in an AEM-based application would be an asset.
