Responsibilities of the Candidate:

  • Making decisions and problem-solving in a timely manner using various system applications under the guidance of the Underwriting Policy
  • This role will have the primary responsibility to manage a team in India BUK Operations.
  • Ensure daily SLA are met as per the Business Schedule
  • Manage and Address queries raised by the client and other stakeholders
  • Accountable for identifying, analyzing,, and resolving /implementing processing issues to prevent re-occurrence reducing loss to the business
  • Provide support and cover in terms of process management to team members

Requirements:

  • Qualified Graduate (B.Com) or MBA (Finance) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge/understanding of a credit underwriting environment and Lending Operations.
  • Hands-on Experience working on Income and other key documents applicable to Mortgage Credit Underwriting. 
  • Prior experience in handling a team or working as an individual contributor would be advantageous.
  • Carrying out affordability checks with customers to ensure applications are in line with our responsible lending criteria and within regulatory guidelines.
  • A strong financial background would be advantageous.
  • Excellent command of the English language being fluent in spoken, written, and oral English
  • MS Office Application Suite (Preferably Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Good analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong control awareness.
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, self-starter, proactive, and a team player.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication.
  • Willingness and ability to take ownership of issues and manage through to a successful resolution
  • Assertiveness, tenacious and control-focused.
  • Expected to take accountability/responsibility for deliverables.
  • Providing innovative judgment that can be contributed as part of the decision-making process
