Job Description Summary:

We work towards making our developers and merchants interactions, integrations with PayPal products and services frictionless and a pleasant experience. As part of that, we focus on innovative tools, Developer centric portal, Developer Docs, API Refs, dashboards and Sandbox Engineering. It’s a new role for helping build nextgen tooling for Sandbox.

We are building nextgen tools with cutting edge technology to make a bigger impact on how merchants and developers integrate with PayPal. The work involves using AI and ML technologies to solve problems, developing tooling and products from ground up. It’s very exciting phase for our team to learn new technologies and make a bigger impact on overall PayPal products and services.
Your way to impact :
- Develops efficient, elegant, clean, reusable code with no unnecessary complication or abstraction.
- Mentor other engineers and developers by providing technical and business-related guidance and resources;
- Deliver quality solutions on schedule.
- Create / Review well-articulated, detailed design documents.
In your day-to-day role you will be responsible for:
- Presents issues and solutions to audiences of varying sizes.
- Provides recognized technical and business leadership and can provide deep technical support across a range of functionality.
- Manages workload and other assignments efficiently while being able to resolve time-critical situations reliably and professionally.
What do you need to bring:
- Proficiency in front-end technologies: Frontend Engineers must be proficient in front-end technologies like React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- They should have a solid understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- They should also be able to use front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js to build complex applications.
- Frontend Engineers must be detail-oriented and strive for pixel-perfect designs.
- They should be able to implement designs provided by UX/UI designers accurately, paying close attention to typography, layout, and color. Accessibility, responsive design and performance are table stakes during development.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking: Frontend Engineers should be able to solve problems and think critically about the design and functionality of the user interface.
- They should be able to break down complex problems into smaller parts and find solutions to them.
- They should also be able to anticipate potential issues and come up with solutions to prevent them from occurring. Communication and soft skills: Engineer should be able to work with different stake holders (product manager, tech leads and UX), clearly able to articulate the requirements and their work.
- Engineer should be flexible while working with team and initiatives.
