Job Description
Visa’s Value-Added Services Innovations team is building a new generation of products to facilitate commerce in everyone's digital and mobile lives. Our focus is to build intuitive features that expose profound new value for our customers, merchants, and developers. Value Added Services Innovations team is looking for a Software Engineer to modernise the platform for digital and mobile products using Public Cloud (Azure, AWS) features such as VMs, Containers, Kubernetes, and Service Mesh. In this role, you will build toolsets that are required to build, deploy, and operate our applications in Public Cloud.
Essential Functions
Write optimised, secure and scalable code that also follows best practices such as unit testing and peer reviews.
Formulate creative solutions to solve problems that meet the objectives of both the product roadmap and technology roadmap.
Participate in and develop end-to-end technology solutions that solve our business needs.
Work closely with multiple stakeholders in a cross-functional organisation within an Agile environment.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications
• 2 or more years of work experience
• Proficiency in front end languages such as ReactJs, JavaScript, CSS and html.
• Experience in languages such as Python, Java and Golang.
• Design, Deploy and manage applications on cloud-based infrastructure like AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Implement and optimize scalable and highly available systems such as VM, Containers and storage solutions.
• Possess hands on and good understanding on DevOps tools and automation framework.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with DevOps techniques building continuous integration and deployment solutions using Jenkins, Docker, Chef/Ansible, Git, Maven, Helm and Spinnaker.
• Strong Trouble shooting and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Strong Communication Skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile environments.

• CKA and CKAD certification
