Job Description
In this role you will be responsible for
Cloud Design & Implementation:
Low level design, develop, and deploy cloud-based solutions using AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, EventBridge.
Develop, deploy and test microservices using Kubernetes-based containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes and Lambda.
Develop and maintain backend services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot and test using Python BDD.
Maintain code quality through best practices, unit testing and test automation.
Participate in software design reviews, conduct code reviews and peer testing for other members in the team
Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
Basic hands-on/fundamentals of infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
Automate deployment processes and ensure consistent environments across multiple stages and regions using CI/CD best practices with source control tools like GIT/GITLAB.
System Optimization & Troubleshooting:
Monitor and optimize cloud-based systems for performance, scalability, and security.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure and Java application issues.
Collaboration & Documentation:
Work closely with internal and external teams to ensure cloud solutions meet business requirements.
Create and maintain detailed documentation including low level designs, deployment scripts, troubleshooting guides and operational procedures.
Security & Compliance:
Basic knowledge of security practices in healthcare (nice to have)
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Basic knowledge of cryptography.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated with the latest advancements in AWS, Kubernetes, IaC, and Java technologies.
Proactively suggest improvements and enhancements to existing systems and processes.
Mentorship & Guidance:
Demonstrates the ability to excel both as an individual contributor and as a collaborative team player.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, encouraging continuous learning and professional growth.
Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and promote best practices.
Education Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering with a focus on Java, Python, AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD.
Experience:
Handson experience with AWS services (EKS, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, CloudWatch) and good to have knowledge of Cryptography and Certificate Management.
Working knowledge of in Kubernetes, Docker, SQL and NO-SQL databases.
Business Acumen:
Comfortable working within a team structure and collaborating with colleagues to overcome challenges and achieve goals.
Capable of understanding/communicating the importance of key business/customer objectives.
Able to provide clear and concise information for team use, with some experience in presentations and storytelling.
Leadership:
Able to identify challenges and collaborate with team members to find solutions and leverage resources.
Demonstrated ability to work with blended teams, including 3rd party partners and customer personnel.
Demonstrated Change Management /Acceleration capabilities
Excellent interpersonal skills, including creativity and curiosity with ability to effectively communicate and influence across all organizational levels
Proven analytical and problem resolution skills
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working closely with cross-functional teams.
