Thomson reuters is Hiring UI Development Engineer
Roles and Responsibilities
- Own large and complex technical projects that interact with several other systems
- Participate and contribute to requirements analysis
- Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture
- Write clean, scalable, and testable code using modern programming languages to support application frontends
- Test and deploy applications and systems
- Revise, update, refactor and debug code
- Help recruit, hire, and mentor your peers and other engineers as we grow
Qualification:
Education: Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering or related field of study, or equivalent experience
Requirements:
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an individual contributor role
- Proven experience as a software engineer using one or more of the following technologies React, Redux, Saga, Apollo, Typescript, JavaScript
- Experience of utilizing web build tools, e.g. Webpack, NPM
- Excited about tackling thorny engineering and passionate about good application architecture and design patterns
- Understanding of Agile methodologies
- Eager and curious to learn new technology stacks
Desired:
- Hands-on experience working with AWS. Experience with some, or all, of these AWS services - AWS Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFormation
- Knowledge of Web Accessibility best practices
- Knowledge of web performance metrics and improvement strategies
- Knowledge of Design System and its application in building scalable user interfaces
- Experience of building applications through Continuous Integration and Deployment
