Job Description
Develops libraries that expose silicon features' value through software APIs so silicon products may be easily consumed by the relevant ecosystem including partners, open source communities, customers, and users. Creates libraries that enable silicon features functionality, performance, security, reliability, and scalability across silicon products such as CPU (Xeon, iCore, Atom),
GPU, VPU, FPGA, and/or others and can be done in the context of multiple application domains such as crypto, security, AI, DSP, math, vision, graphics, networking, I/0, and storage. Focuses on the full SW life cycle with SW requirements, architecture/design, implementation, test and validation, system and platform integration, benchmarking, and/or customer/user collateral development. Collaborates with silicon design teams to codesign optimized silicon and software solutions and support customer facing teams with SW libraries expertise. Conducts or participates in multidisciplinary research and collaborates with design, layout and/or hardware engineers in the design, development, and utilization of productivity enhancement layout tools. Designs rule checkers and electronic data processing systems software and determines computer user needs. Advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements, and designs/develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Qualifications
Required skills: ? Honours degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering or Computer Science. ? 3+ years' work experience in Linux application development ? Excellent knowledge of C/C++ programming, especially in developing multi-core or multi-threaded software. ? Strong knowledge of Linux operating system. ? knowledge of TLS, QUIC and network security protocols ? knowledge of filesystem and database ? knowledge of asynchronous programming patterns ? Have work experience on security or data compression related applications/frameworks/Libraries: OpenSSL/Nginx/RocksDB/ZSTD... ? Strong problem-solving skills coupled with a strong aptitude to learn and self-motivated ? Effective communications. ? Discipline and maturity to develop quality deliverables at all stages of the software development life cycle. ? Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multisite team. ? Track record of innovation and continuous improvement. The following skills would be an advantage: ? Familiar with Crypto algorithms (RSA, ECDH, AES, DES, ect.) or data compression algorithms (DEFLATE, ZSTD, etc.) ? Hands-on experience on OpenSSL, Nginx and network security frameworks ? Hands-on experience on compression library, like zlib or ZSTD ? Open-Source Software Development. ? Experience in optimizing software for performance, scalability, security. ? Networking technologies and protocol stacks e.g. Ethernet, TCP/IP, IPSec. ? Virtualization technologies e.g. KVM, XEN, QEMU, VMWARE and developing in a virtualized environment ? Agile Software development methodology experience. ? Source control management tools e.g. GIT. ? Experience with quality assurance tools e.g. Gerrit ? Experience of working in a multi-geo environment. ? Experience of interacting with Customers. ? Software configuration management and release planning.
