Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Work in a global environment, collaborating with product owners, architects, and technical leaders to understand requirements and user stories and thereby develop quality software as a member of the Scrum team (Agile Methodology)
- Ensure code quality, test coverage, and adherence to various quality parameters per GE quality manual
- Ensure that the implementation results in reusable software assets
- Document requirements, designs, verifications, and other key development activities by established GE Healthcare and local quality processes
- Identify technical risks, and quality shortfalls and flag them for resolution
- Perform integration & verification activities at component and sub-system levels
- Investigate and help resolve product complaints reported by customers/field engineers
- Participate in team meetings, introspection sessions, and other group activities
- Learn and understand the clinical relevance of MR Visualization applications and platform components
- Ensure all actions and software delivered are compliant with GE Healthcare regulations
- Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
- Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
- Support compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before completing Design Outputs/Program Deliverables
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Engineering/Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related computer field, with 2+ years of software development experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in full stack development Java, Microservices, Spring boot, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Angular2+ & above, and Typescript) in a Linux environment
- Experience with the implementation of microservices/containers
- Good understanding of data structures
- Working experience in developing front-end applications consuming backend microservices (containerized or otherwise)
- Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Design (OOD) and Programming (OOP) concepts
- Experience in the usage of testing methodologies like TDD-Test Driven Development /BDD- Behavior Development and usage of tools like Cucumber, JUnit, Mockito, Protractor, etc
- Working experience in a scaled Agile environment and understanding of CI/ CD
- Familiarity with industry software development practices, tools, and environments including practical usage of Configuration Management systems, Defect Tracking Tools, and Debuggers
- Desired Characteristics:
- Proficiency in C++ or Python
- knowledge of Docker & Kubernetes
- Work experience in the Healthcare industry developing clinical post-processing applications
- Basic knowledge of medical image post-processing
- Effective analytical, debugging, and Problem-Solving skills
